It all depends on you. If you want it you can get your miracle
"And behold, a woman of Canaan came from that region and cried out to Him, saying, “Have mercy on me, O Lord, Son of David! My daughter is severely demon-possessed.” But He answered her not a word. And His disciples came and urged Him, saying, “Send her away, for she cries out after us.” But He answered and said, “I was not sent except to the lost sheep of the house of Israel.” Then she came and worshiped Him, saying, “Lord, help me!” But He answered and said, “It is not good to take the children’s bread and throw it to the little dogs.” And she said, “Yes, Lord, yet even the little dogs eat the crumbs which fall from their masters’ table.” Then Jesus answered and said to her, “O woman, great is your faith! Let it be to you as you desire.” And her daughter was healed from that very hour" (Matth 15:22-28)
She cried out: "Lord, have mercy on me!". The desire to help her daughter made her persistent. Though it seemed like Jesus has not heard her... At least He didn`t show it... Then He declared that He was sent only to Israelis and there is no sense for strangers to expect anything from Him.
When God Himself says such words, it seems like one could only turn and walk away... But a woman of Canaan has not given up. She worshiped Jesus and prayed to get at least crumbs of His divine attention. She had no doubt that God is able to heal her daughter... She realized that she is a gentile, that she is not worthy, but she relied on His mercy so she asked relentlessly.
She received a great reward. First of all she got what she desired so much – her daughter was healed. Secondly, Jesus said to her, and only to her (in all four gospels) these words: "Great is your faith!".
How often do we pray the same relentless way like this woman did, when we ask help from the Lord and want to get what we need so much? How often do we humble ourselves like she did, to exalt the Giver of every mercy to be satisfied even with the smallest gift? Even when it seems that God does not hears us, do we continue to ask and to humble ourselves before Him?
Jesus wants to say “great is your faith” to you as well. It all depends on you. If you want it you can get your miracle!
